And all the links are dead, the ones that link to amazon and the battleshop.

I just finished my used copy of 2XS, and figured I should get around to reading the rest of Findley's work, and I recall hearing about the Omnibus on these forums and figured I'd do some digging. But it looks like if it did come out that it has mysteriously vanished off the face of the interwebs.

It did for a little bit as an ePub.  Unfortunately it had to be pulled due to legal issues, primarily with the original novel publishers (Roc, I think).  It (and all the other older novels) are still tied up due to that

Well no need for anything quite so drastic. Merely a response of "No" when asked by my friend who works in films if I know of anyone looking for work in the industry. I hope he enjoys being a security guard  in the meantime! :-)

No clue.  I don't know any of the details beyond "It's a legal issue that goes above CGL and dates back to FASA."  It's totally out of our hands.  Sorry.

So ROC does not have an online presence at this time.

Penguin still lists ROC as one of their imprints but does not offer a digital way to communicate general questions.

A search of Penguin’s Permission Requests does not find any of the Shadowrun titles / authors listed as currant IP of Penguin.

Penguin is now a part of Random House but not listed on their publishers page. Random House also does not recognize any of the Shadowrun authors in their about our authors database.

Many of the authors published by ROC in the 90s are now available as ePubs under the publishing name Random House.

You can contact Random House here to ask about the currant status of the Shadowrun series of novels. When contacting them be polite and spell out your interest (They are now the largest english language publisher in the world). Ask about digital ePubs of the 40 novels in the Shadowrun Novels published by their ROC imprint between 1990 and 2001.

I may still have some friends in the publishing industry so I will continue to dig at this.
