1) Crossfire is a Deckbuilder Game, not a Living Card Game.
LCG's involve each player buys sets of non-randomized cards, and then building decks from those before the game starts, and once play starts there's not much difference between them and a CCG. Deckbuilders have each player ultilizing a singular source of cards, and building their decks as they play the game.
2) It's nothing like the SRTCG from the 90's.
3) It's a cooperative game. Each player takes the role of a runner and try to beat challenges and win specific scenarios.
4) It's closer in general style to Dominion than Netrunner, mainly because of point 1. Each game always utilizes the same pool of cards, rather than being a bunch of different cards piles you can mix-n-match.
5) The game is progressive. That is, each game you can earn karma for your character, and buy skills that give you bonuses for future games. So, for eaxmple, you might start with more cards or more money each game, or certain cards might be more powerful. If you've played Pathfinder Deckbuilder, it's a little like that.
6) There's a Demo Set with stripped down rules and a limited selection of cards that were used to demo the game at Gen Con last year. CGL also gave a few demo sets away to fans who were playing various Shadowrun games over the weekend.

7) I've played quite a bit with the demo set (and a little with some kitbashed cards utilizing the full rules). It is a lot of fun.
