This is some good news here!

As this is likely the closest I'll be able to RP with folks here, what platform should I get this on?

Steam/PC.  Assuming that's an option.  :)

Man, I remember playing the Tower of Doom game in the arcade like 20 years ago.  Wow.  Very cool.

It makes me sad that you'd see this as your only way to RP with us.  Feel free to start up an online game for Saturday nights, and I'll join your group.

Ok, so I'll be getting TWO games in June with this one joining up with SR:R. I'll be getting it on XBox (tag: SunrisenKnight). And yeah, Bull, it'll be out for PC as well.

I can't RP online.  I don't know why.

An arcade game with voice chat would be awesome.  I pick the Dwarf.

Have to see about getting a controller for my PC.

Wii U, Steam, XBLA and PSN are the release platforms.

I was figuring a wired X-Box 360 Controller so I can use it on my PC and my X-Box.  Get the PC and the X-Box versions of the game, and have a variety of options of playing it with folks.

I'm willing to bet the game will have in-house multiplayer as well as online co-op.  At least, I'd damned well hope so!

I use a USB wired XBox controller for my PC.  Love it, wish more games used it. :)

There's a couple programs out there if you want to make games that don't directly support it work - I've heard good things about XPadder, for example.

What game now doesn't support it? Every game I've seen for years has native support for the Xbox controller, including the graphics in-game for the buttons.

It's out now.  Who is getting it?  What systems?

I'm going to get it for PC right now, myself.

Not with these old hands.  Since I wrecked my arm my ability to work with a keyboard has gone to hell.

Sorry about that. I just meant that in our generation, it was rare for people preferring game controler over keyboard.
I used to have a console, but for most pc games I could not use anything else than kb...
