Hi everyone!
With the latest update released for Shadowrun Online, I'm tempted to purchase the game.

The problem is, I don't like MMOs much so I was wondering, for those of you who have tried the game, can this game be played or enjoyed as a single player?
Is there an option to have your fellow runners as cpu on the missions?

I am aware of Shadowrun Returns in case you thought of asking, I loved both Dead Man Switch and Dragonfall (especially the Director's Cut) and I backed on Kickstarter the upcoming Hong Kong campaign.

So, is there any hope for me for Shadowrun Online?

Thanks!

It can be played solo with NPC's as your fellow runners though im not sure if they added in the feature to use your buddy as a npc. Just keep in mind its still very much in the works so if you are not into seeing a game in progress I would hold off until its officially released.

I am extremely under whelmed with the currant product. Wish the CGL tie-ins were with SR: Returns instead.

Agreed. This looks like a 'training wheels' edition, that you can use to introduce someone to the setting, and then shift over to something like 5E or 4E. Like how D&D 5E is best used as training wheels for D&D 3.X.

Turned in Toxshaman for ¥1 million/4 once.

Pretty sure this is the book linked to the KS campaign (much like the way the Boston book is linked to the SRO campaign), though I'd be quite happy to be wrong... ;)

The game is now being changed again. It should not effect the Steam version but a boxed edition of the game is going to be distributed by Nordic Games.

And my computer doesn't even have one of those old fashioned CD slots. ;)
