Lupin III
« on: (21:15:56/09-29-10) »
The Castle of Cagliostro: greatest shadowrun ever or most awesomest shadowrun ever? You decide!

Seriously, this movie has it all: sneak-thieves, gadgets, heavy weapons (an anti-tank gun!), spies, dastardly counts, explosions galor, AUTOGYROS (for riggers), mysterious rings, car chases, hidden identities, ninjas, fabulous treasures and even a real ronin with katanas that can cut anything.

The only thing it was missing was dinosaurs.

Sweet Mother of the Italian Job I'm going to run this as a shadowrun soon.

I have a hard time watching any anime with that style of animation. Doesn't matter how good the story is, I just can't get past the low framerate/jerky motion.
Power corrupts.
Absolute power is kinda neat.

I watched the HD version and it seemed very smooth in most of the scenes, though there were a few times it was choppy. YMMV.

The greatest Runner team is without a doubt the A-Team.

Don't forget the spiritual successors to those guys:

I wouldn't put them up against the A-Team, cuz they'd lose, but they make a good run...

Leverage on TNT, they just finished error the 2nd season's mid-season finale and announce they will be coming back for a third season. The characters are (L-R) Grifter, Hitter, Mastermind, Thief, Hacker

The blond girl is Beth Riesgraf, who's also a professional photographer. She's also the crazy one, channeling Murdoch at times.

She's also dating (married to?) Jason Jee, aka Brodie from Mallrats.
She's with that guy...   so you've got a chance with her, probably...

OH SNAP: they separated in 2007, but already had a kid... named Pilot Inspektor...

Nah, she's too hot for me.

I'm a realist. Celebrities are like pieces of fine art. Great to look at from the other side of a velvet rope, but pointless and troublesome to attempt to get closer to them.

Dating a celebrity sounds awful anyways.

Hey, Jason Lee is cool, aside from giving his kid a retarded name.

So she has no taste for names... I'd still do her.

On topic, I own all Lupin DVDs. I love that crew!

The one thing that killed Lupin for me was the voices. They grated on my nerves, the animation didn't really help either.
