The next Mission in season 4 is now out–SRM 04-05: On a Silver Platter is on sale wherever we sell electronic goods–primarily the Battleshop and DrivethruRPG.

Here’s the rundown:
Quote

Best served cold

A year ago your fixer’s daughter was killed by the Mayan Cutter copycat. He always suspected that someone else was pulling the strings, someone highly placed.  Now he believes he has proof, but that someone isn’t going down without a fight. The stakes are higher than ever and someone’s trying to stop you before you even start!  Are you ready to serve up a side of revenge?

SRM 04-05: On a Silver Platter continues the latest series of Shadowrun Missions, building on the plotline that focuses on the struggle between the Ork Underground and the city of Seattle as the metahuman rights groups continue to push for recognition. A fathers personal grief becomes enmeshed in this struggle and he looks to the runners to settle a vendetta.  How far will they go? Players have a chance to affect ongoing plotlines and shape the future of Seattle in the Sixth World by playing Missions.

Now, as it turns out, this Mission is a sequel to a convention mission from 2010 called Copycat Killer. While On a Silver Platter can be played just fine by itself, it will have even more resonance for players who have run Copycat Killer. The trouble is, Copycat Killer was only played by a small group of players, and was not available to the general public.

Until now. For this Mission, we’ve included Copycat Killer with the Mission at no extra charge. Get two runs for the price of one! Need a little more info on Copycat Killer? Here you go:

A little girl lost…

For three years the Mayan Cutter terrorized the metahumans of Seattle and many point to their inability to stop him as the reason Lone Star lost it’s Seattle contract.  Shortly after Knight Errant took over, the killings stopped and the Tin Men took credit for bringing him down.  But now the killings have started again.  Is it a copycat or is it the real deal?  You’ll have the chance to find out when a grief-stricken Mr. Johnson calls you to track him down so he can get revenge.

CMP 2010-02: Copycat Killer was originally released as part of the 2010 Convention Missions series and was only available at gaming conventions. This adventure also serves as a prequel to SRM 04-05: On a Silver Platter.

To reiterate: two for one! Enjoy!

As a note, the CMP adventure is fairly basic in design. It's B&W and currently has no interior art. We have someone working on finishing the clean-up work needed on the CMP adventures and will be releasing them at some point hopefully soon as a reasonably priced bundle pack. But for now, enjoy CMP 2010-02: Copycat Killer as a free bonus! We didn't want to release the sequel without making the prequel available :)

Hey, quick question.... will the Copycat Killer mission count for character progression for Missions Only tables?

Of course!  It's still a full fledged Missions adventure.  It's just one taht was only available at gaming conventions before.  We have a pile of these we're working on releasing, actually.

The big thing with the CMP adventures is that they're usually independent of the main SRM adventures as far as plot and location go.  CMP 2010-02 Copycat Killer (along with CMP 2010-03 Ashes) kind of cheat a little with that concept though, because they were written before SRM 04 started and were initially a bit of a tease as to what was coming up in Season 4.
