can a phys adapt bond a power focus?  And if he does, does he get more power points?

Yes to the first, and no to the second.

Power Foci only provide their bonus to MAG tests. It does not augment your MAG Attribute.

So, your pools for Attribute Boost and the like is it.

On a slightly unrelated note but about Phys-Adepts (because I neither want to start a new topic for this hopefully small question, nor necro one out of 2010):
Does Critical Strike add to the damage I can do to a subdued opponent?

It does say it adds to unarmed attacks on the one hand, but the name on the other hand describes it as a strike.
Now you could reason, that since it's your muscles applying pressure to the opponents neck, it could as well be enhanced by magic, as your muscles breaking someones nose.
But is dealing damage to a subdued opponent actually an unarmed attack? There is no attack-roll required.
Is there any official ruling in existence that I might have missed?

By RAW or RAI, Critical Strike applies to subdual attacks. The name is just fluff.

Yeah. Really, if your GM lets the guys with Bone Lacing or Bone Density augs add their bonus damage to subduing then there is no reason for the adept not to get his critical strike bonuses as well.

Bone Lacing and Density augs adding to submissions makes logical sense, submission moves utilize the attackers own bones as fulcrums and levers and to apply a crushing force, to have them stronger would absolutely make the attack more effective. What it comes down to though IMO is that there's absolutely zero equivocation in the rule. Unarmed attacks include subdual.
