Title: Missions Question about calendar

This might seem like a really weird or abusive question:

Does a character's calendar have to start when they start running or can it start before their first run?

For instance a character wants a piece of gear with an availability 13 that costs less than the amount of nuyen you can carry over.  He knows he can find it on the black market.  Could he start his calendar one week in so that he had the time to find the piece of gear?

When they start running. Things like Spirite encoding and spirit binding could points of abuse otherwise.
