Our group has pretty high percentage of transport jobs.  Our Rigger is on point and we are having fun.

primary vehicle has a lot of armor, but as you know - its never enough.  Rigger's actions are typically:
IP1 - Control vehicle (so we don't crash)
IP2 - Full defense (it's not really its own action but you get the idea)
IP3 - (if he gets one) shoot with vehicle mounted weapon.

Is there a way to have the vehicle mounted weapon fire autonomously while he is jumped in driving?  Drones and Smart-firing-platforms do this.
Is there a way for the riger to take control back and be able to fire through the vehicle mounted weapon with his full (jumped in) dice pool (basically putting it back into the vehicles suite of capabilities)?

Thanks,

Don’t take a control test, just skip and go straight to crash test or at least wait with it until the last phase? The control just have to be done during the phase, it doesn’t have to be the first action taken.

Full defense is only when I need i would suspect so that’s optional as well.

The easy solution would be to install a good auto pilot into the car and concentrate on firing.

A slightly more complicated solution would be to use an RCC and combine it with a drone rack. Technically you can make from your drones immobile to gain +2 BP and just have them act like turrets. Noizquito drones can gain enough BP that way to install automatic weapons. As micro drone rack you can have 10 of those little buggers popping up, sporting assault rifles.

With the RCC you can give all those drones the same command at once. Running Smartsoft, an R6 Targeting Autosoft and a single action for aiming, all those drones have 12 dice to shoot. Combined with FA fire, they are bound to hit something.
(And no, this particular build isn't meant to be taken earnest. It just shows once again that the Noizquito should have gotten errata a long time ago)
