I'm going to cheat this year and don my SCA garb and pass out candy.

What's everyone else planning?

Hiding in the bushes, waiting for the eggers to come by with my industrial power washer  >:(
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???

My inner adult wants to say "shame on you", but my inner child wants to make popcorn and pull up a lawn chair. I think the latter is winning.

it's simple really, Throw eggs at my house, get soaked.

And since I can reach out to 60 feet with the power washer... you get REALLY soaked!!  ;D

Sending the grandkids out to trick or treat , will be handing out candy/cheese puffs (for the ones who cant have too much sugar) ourselves to any treaters that come knocking.

Got the carved pumpkin out front, with pumpkin guts spilling from it's mouth like it's been sick with a bit of green colour streaks in it to add to the gross factor.

Couldn't find my glow in the dark powders, so wasn't able to go with radioactively glowing vomit sadly. :(

Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?

Dollar stores sometimes carry glow sticks. A green one might do the trick if you set it under the "guts".

Or mix the stick, then cut it open and pour it on the spew.
Would you want to go into a place where the resident had a drum-fed shotgun and can see in the dark?

I would actually advise against that, especially if there's small children who might want to play with the goop. The catalyst for the reaction is often contained in a tiny glass tube, that breaks open when you snap the stick. The shards are usually too tiny to actually cause cuts, but they can embed themselves in the skin and cause horrid itching.

Did think about that, but decided wasn't entirely sure of the components, so kept it simple and skin friendly.

Wasted a few of the seeds for the display, roasted the rest for snacking :)

That's awesome! Eventually I'll get off my duff and start on the honey cakes for the Alfarblot.

Well, another halloween come and gone, another 2 boxes of candy handed out...

And only 1 pack of teenagers drenched....

All in all it was a good one! (Next door neighbour's kid looked awesome in his batman costume, complete with a 'bat mobile'!)

BTW: that pumpkin looks awesome!

Well, the Alfarblot had a much higher turn out than I anticipated, so I'm pretty pleased about that. Saw a lot of awesome costumes. One kid was dressed as the Dovakiin from Skyrim, and his parents were dressed as Lydia and Cicero. I think that one is my favorite.

I got pretty well wiped out by a massive ear/sinus infection, so I didn't dress up at all, which is really sad to me.  But I did manage to put on my best PJs and give out some candy as well as rubber snakes and dinosaurs for the Teal Pumpkin project.  I remember one kid dressed as Batman and his mother was Catwoman, which struck me as technically well-executed but canonically awkward.
