Got into Missions this last weekend, and I was told that crafting isn't useable in the campaign.  Which is fine, but I'm Mulligan'ing my character, and the old character had skills like Armorer.  Is that going to be useful, at all, in the campaign?  Because otherwise I could use the skill points.

Sorta kinda, but not really.  Missions makes you pay for doing the upgrades even if you've got the skills and tools yourself.  Lots of reasons for that in a Living campaign world.  Anything that would be "Free" you could certainly do yourself, and the assorted skills do come up in Missions play although Hardware is far and away the most common.
