There are/were real world talks about Chrysler and Nissan in Production Deal.

There is a real Purpose Built Police Patrol Vehicle coming in 2012.

So clearly, Carbon Motors became successful enough to be acquired by the Chrysler-Nissan joint venture.

Wonder if the Lone Eagle incident is gonna play out, too?
There is no overkill.

Only "Open fire" and "I need to reload."

Hey, that thing's got suicide doors.  I'm betting its so police can have cover from any direction when they exit the vehicle.
There is no overkill.

Only "Open fire" and "I need to reload."

I think I want one.  Not with the sirens or paint scheme, just the specs.

"Cop tires, cop engine, cop suspension."
There is no overkill.

Only "Open fire" and "I need to reload."

Hey, that thing's got suicide doors.  I'm betting its so police can have cover from any direction when they exit the vehicle.
The suicide doors open wider than normal doors and make it easier to put suspects in and out of the back.
On top of that, the rear compartment is:
  • completely separated from the front section (sort of like a limo, but for officer safety)
  • has seats designed to fit handcuffed passengers
  • has reversed seat belts that are easier and safer to put on suspects
  • made only from materials that can be hosed down (with a drain plug in the floor)

The front seats are also specially designed to be comfortable even when wearing a complete equipment belt.

The T-98 looks like more of an executive protection vehicle than a police car but I could see them adding the features of the Carbon Motors car and putting them in a T-98.  The Carbon Motors car looks like... well a cop car, perfect for the beats that take officers through Belleview or Downtown.  The T-98 on the other hand looks like it would be right at home in Mogadishu.  Like something that the Star would use on patrol in Touristville or some of the nastier parts of Renton and Tacoma.

Yeah...Tacoma...home, sweet home... maybe that is why this is how I remember cop cars :D
