Mouse is actually the reincarnation of my very first SR character. She's an elf from the Sioux Nation (Alder in current day Montana, specifically). When she was younger, she left her family's ranch to explore the world and wound up in Denver. Copious amounts of  bulldrek later (a different GM's campaign), she returned home to find that her parents had been nabbed and inhabited by bug spirits. Distraught and wanting revenge, she joined up with Firewatch to hunt bugs. A few years later, she was part of a Firewatch mission that went horribly wrong, and she was the only survivor. Being a shadowrunner turned straight, a higher up thought she made the perfect scapegoat for the failure. Disgraced, she returned to her ranch and lived the next several years in near-complete isolation, paying off a local go-gang to protect her property. Now she's discovered that the man who framed her was promoted, and is living in Detroit.

Don't like it much...
First for skills, when you mean Karma, you mean skill points right? because skills cost more than that in karma.
Second point, useless to take Bug Zapper and adept spell, with 2 in spellcasting, better buy something else.
Danger Sense at 1 rank, no adept spell and you have 1 rank in Improved Reflexes...
I would maybe take out iron will or supernatural toughness, get either elemental strike acid (if you expect long fights) or Penetrating strike 3 or 4.
I also like Adept Accident, but that's personal...

Bear in mind a bug nest likely has background count, so low level powers are likely to be useless  :-\

With your skill set, raise Agility, preferably all the way to 7. It's expensive but I think worth it for this character. You "waste" a lot of money(karma) buying high lifestyle 5 months in advance. 2 months should be plenty. As other have said, Bug zapper is not a good spell choice for adept spell. (Choose a spell that's effective even with few hits, like shapechange or levitate.)

I know it's tempting to buy group skills with karma, but it's still a trap in most cases. You wont need both unarmed, blades AND clubs. Choose one (I would lower Strength and choose clubs, getting a stun baton).

You will never need Enhanced Accuracy (Longarms). Longarms usually have pretty good accuracy and it's easy to get a laser sight/smartlink.

Why all the old vintage weapons?

Why all the old vintage weapons?

It's a character backstory thing. She had to get rid of most of her Ares weapons when she left Firewatch and returned to the Sioux Nation, so all she had left was the Predator (legal in that nation), and the old firearms her dad taught her to shoot with when she was a kid.

As much as I like corporate backgrounds, they can feel quite unrealistic if you don't try hard enough to be "good". Firewatch members would be equivalent - or close to - professional rating 6 npc in the corebook. I know it is impossible to have a group skill at 9 at character creation, but it feels mandatory to have a dicepool as close as possible as 20 with one of your main weapons (all augmentation included, of course), to reflect the intense training you are supposed to have. It is rather surprising to see you having so much power points spent on unarmed combat - through killing hands and elemental strike - when you already have a bonded foci and so little dice on unarmed combat. I'd rather ditch killing hands, switch elemental strike with elemental weapons (if you really want something like that),along with changing a few other things  (danger sense 5 seems overkill to me, but it may be because the tables i play in have houseruled the way surprise work, so that someone initiating an ambush can never be the surprised one even if the other side has an overwhelming perception), and putting points in powers that would give you dice pools to your combat skills.

You are free to follow - or not - what I just said comes from comments I have had over my last year of playing shadowrun. To give you an example, I once had a cyber-implanted sniper specialist that had 21 dp on that sniper skill, and she was supposed to have been part of the spirit company (Shiawase spec ops, that was a prime runner too). Well, almost everyone at my table laughed and said that with her skill, she would have been at best in-training, but never a fully-fledged member of a team. While some of them tend to have munchkin-y characters, not all of them do, and the fact was that most of the time, Corporate Spec Ops are way better than any character you can make at chargen.

(I also apologize if some sentences are hard to follow, I have a problem with long phrases).

Eh, I consider it as her having fallen a touch out of practice after years in retirement. After hunting bugs for several years, deer are child's play.

That sounds viable.  A full-bore elite spec ops type (Tir ghost, firewatch, red samurai, etc.) is out of reach for a character with starting skill and resource limitations, but a spec ops type who washed out of training, or burned out, or developed an addiction, or who suffered near-crippling injuries, or who is old and/or retired - that's fine.  Just as long as there is an explanation for why their abilities are no longer world-class.

I agree with Glonthein that killing hands and elemental strike are redundant with a bonded weapon focus.  It is an understandable redundancy for someone who used to hunt bug spirits; just be aware that there is an opportunity cost there.  It probably won't matter if the other characters in the group are not min-maxed.

Yea, before I realized I can't because the library closes stupid early on Saturdays. :(
