Excellent story. A follow-up to Patrick's last enhanced fiction piece, Another Rainy Night.

It's also available at Amazon and the Battleshop. Available now at Barnes & Noble. There's even a blog post about it.

Anxious to hear what people have to say about it.

EDIT: Added the Barnes & Noble link.

Oh, and a request: If you buy it (and really, why wouldn't you?), please be sure to go to the place you bought it and rate/review it. This helps bring other people besides the True Believers to the book. Thanks!!

Echo that.

In fact, I'll have to do that at Amazon soon.

Patrick,

Thank you for this.  I love reading more about the vampires and such in Shadowrun.  In fact, I plan on making a series of games around them in Seattle.  This will help tremendously.  Additionally, I'm not sure what impact you had for making the book enhanced with additional rule stuff, but thank you!

Again - thank you.  :)

One of these days they'll let me write long-form fiction.

I really hope so. Don't get me wrong. I like these novella's and their price tags make them easy to swallow, but I'd really love a new novel of some 300ish pages to really sink my teeth in to.

I just picked up the kindle version. I'm actually still reading through 2XS, so I'll be breaking the spine open (figuratively) after I'm done with 2XS (might be a little while since I only read when I'm on the train going to work).

And you got my money.

What really draws me in is that it has some SR fiction, but also some game stats/mechanics.  I like that balance.  Will that stuff ever be SR missions legal?

Oh, and Bull says unless he issues an FAQ on it, it's Missions legal. So the stuff in ARN is Missions legal, but the stuff in SASS isn't yet because it just came out and hasn't passed the 30-day-from-publication mark yet.

Where are the game stats in your book, by the way? I bought it off of Amazon, and I'm not seeing any stats...

I just purchased it through Drive Thru because I really enjoyed "Another Rainy Night."  I am looking forward to reading the story during my free time in the next week.  I was a bit disappointed that there were not statistics for other vampires.  I would have loved to see Theresa from the first story brought back in the statistical 5th edition form. I did like the additional rules for vibro blades, new spells, and new qualities.

Overall a good product so far, worth the 1.99, and that is with not having read the story yet.

Considering how ARN ended, I never considered converting Teresa to SR5, though I suppose I could easily enough.

Glad you think it was worth the price, though. :)

It's on my list! As soon as I get through the other items ahead of it (including certain academic works I need to deal with >.>), I'll read and review ^^

I did skim it and noticed you included a older model of smartgun system within a weapon once I got to the end. That makes for plenty of epileptic trees for me to post as to how smartguns work  :P
