Title: Umbrae Europae [OOC]
Post by: Jack_Spade on <08-30-16/1231:45>
The shadows of Europe have a lot to offer for those willing to get their hands dirty...

This is the main OOC thread for the newly formed European Player Group (http://forums.shadowruntabletop.com/index.php?topic=24704.0)

The story starts in Old Goldsnout's Backyard, the Rhein-Ruhr-Megaplex (http://shadowhelix.pegasus.de/Rhein-Ruhr-Megaplex).
(The link  (http://shadowrun.fr/wiki/M%C3%A9troplexe_Rhin-Ruhr)in French for all our Francophile players)

A short summary:
The Rhine-Ruhr-Megaplex is the most populous county of the ADL (Alliance of German Counties), the Northrhine-Ruhr. About 25.600.000 people live together in closest proximity. Its a crucible of various cultures with its own regional dialect mixed from German, Polish, Turkey, Russian and a few others - but most plex dwellers also know enough High German to get by.

The RRMP has excellent infra structure, connecting its constituent cities as well as there districts.

The former independent cities are now more like districts of one mega city:
- Bochum: Called the "Las Vegas at the Ruhr" due to its various entertainment options. Home to the rebuild Opel (Vauxhal) motorworks, owned by EMC
- Glabotki: Portmanteau for the coalesced cities Gladbeck, Bottrop und Kirchhellen. Almost no corp presence, high poverty rates
- Dortmund: One of the biggest cities in the plex, dominated by two archeologies (SK and Renraku) in close proximity, creating sometimes stand off between both security teams.
- Duisburg: Dominated by its Rhine-harbor - lots of smuggling activity
- Düsseldorf: Lots of Janano Corps and Yakuza, central element is the international airport  dient unter anderem mit seinem Flughafen als Knotenpunkt für viele Reisende.
- Essen: S-K Prime and nothing else... besides the Draco Foundation
- Gelsenkirchen: One of the most dilapidated cities of the plex: High unemployment and powerty and a thriving smuggle business to the neighboring church state Westphalen.
- Köln (Cologne): Media Metropolis and lots of beautiful local recreational areas with lakes and parks.
- Wuppertal: Also known as "Zombie-Town" - multiple levels where the lowest ones are completely cut of from the sun. The lower you get the more crime and less law you find. Level Sub Zero is a Z-Zone with squatters, junkies, gangs, ghouls and probably even a wendigo.

The characters sheet for Käse can be found here. (https://www.dropbox.com/s/gowtz62471tcxx2/K%C3%A4se.pdf?dl=0)

Käse
Being the only elf in the small Dutch village Hallum was pretty tough on Freek's parents, though they managed and loved their elven son as much as all their other children, at least, that's what they always told him. His father hated his mother for bearing him a freak, luckily his other 4 children were normal humans. Freek went to school just like any other boy his age would, but little children can be cruel, and if you're the only elf in a school full of humans you're bound to be picked on. Freek often came home with cuts and bruises, clothes torn and school supplies broken or stolen by the many bullies.

When Freek's magic abilities started manifesting at the age of 12 he began lashing out at the bullies in school, accidentally blinding one with his magic. His father started doing research on magical boarding schools and arranged for his son to be picked up by Saeder-Krupp and brought to one of their magic schools in Bremen. At the school Freek had a hard time fitting in. He was one of the few non-German students and had difficulty following the German classes. When he did speak German it was with a thick Dutch accent. This lead to everyone calling him Käse-Kopf, or Käse.

As puberty started setting in Freek started to become more and more anti establishment, especially anti SK. He started openly insulting Lofwyr and other high ranking SK employees. When at age 18 he tried to escape the compound for the second time, this time mortally wounding two security guards, Freek was moved from the school to an experimental lab in Bavaria. It was here where Feek's eyes were replaced for cyber eyes as part of a series of tests surrounding astral perception and assensing. The tests and almost torture like practices continued until one night when a group of Shadowrunners infiltrated the compound to extract one of the other test subjects. During the confusion Freek managed to escape his cell and started his escape. While trying to find his way out  of the compound Freek ran into the party's decker who was under heavy fire from SK security. A well placed fireball took care of the security goons and Freek begged the decker to take him with them. Having saved his life the decker used his open connection to the compound's host to find info on the the young mystic adept and quickly erase whatever he could find on the kid. Freek and the decker met up with the rest of the team that had found their target in the meantime and explained the situation. Taking Freek with them the runners made their escape from the compound. During the getaway Freek tried his best to help the runners shake their pursuers casting fireballs and lightning bolts. Eventually the drain took its toll and Freek fell back unconscious in the back of the van. Freek woke up in a forest to the sound of men shouting and a VTOL flying overhead. Without a second to spare Freek cast an invisibility spell on himself and started making his way towards the shouting to see what had happened. From a distance he could see the wreckage of the van and the bodies of three of the five runners he had escaped with, including the decker. He started running as fast as he could, the invisibility spell keeping him from being detected.

After several days of walking Freek came to the decrepit edge of the Munich sprawl, having no money he took up some small jobs here and there, eventually making his way into the Shadows.

Name: Waywalker

“Waywalker may be crazier than my ex-girlfriend (and that’s enough crazy), but made the cop fraggers eat the dust! If there is a way around a border, he will find it.

I was born in the GeMiTo sprawl, the one with a fucking dragon that eats people. Life was difficult then, and I was more comfortable with machines than people. There is a long history of smuggling in Italy, due to all the borders. And as we say, “Done the law, found the catch”.
My grandfather lost his SIN, and all of my family when he goblinized in a Ork back in 2021. We were SINless from the very beginning of this word. How do we survived? As most people did, doing what we could. I became a shadowrunner in my twenties, after trying to work as a low-paid spider for a factory building. When the entire place was burned to the ground by runners, who was blamed? Me. It turns up that the factory building shared a side with a secret research lab of the same corp, the very objective of the runners. And they want my head because they think I'm guilty. Well, the runners offered me a year of wages and a lift to the Ruhr with all the corp's gear I could carry, how could I refuse?”
Where is a border, there is some way to pass it. And I’m going to be the one you call to do it.

Distinctive style: Fan of the Vandals, a combat biking team in the Rhein - Ruhr scene, Waywalker almost always displays their logo on his clothing. The long coat he wears was one of the actual clothes of Speed, art name of the team rigger.

François "Frank" Dubois - a hired killer turned Ghoul

Description: Even before being turn into a Ghoul, Franck did not have a nice face. A crooked, long nose - too often broken during his childhood, a long face and beady eyes. Whatever hair he used to have are now long gone, and the transformation also gave a weird look at his skin. His cybereyes on the contrary are regular, blue eyes - trying desperatly to compensante for his clearly "alien" appareance....

François - or rather Franck as anybody calls him, had a tuff childhood. Born SIN-less, in a bad part of Paris suburb, he quickly learn how to fight, or rather shot with a pistol to survive. He became quickly good at it, and he got a lot of wetwork, rather young. He often jokes that he killed his first mark before drinking his first beer, and even losing his virginity.

Quickly he became an excellent "killer for hire" and start taking jobs regularly. While being a good shot, Franck is first of all a professional, so , for each mark, he always spent time researching the victim, planning for his hit, figure out his escape plan (and so on). He got so good at it, that he became cocky. After a (lucky for him) encounter with a ghoul in Paris Catacombs, he decided he had found the way to cheat death - becoming a ghoul !

He planned for it, saving enough money for the required cyberware upgrade (cybereyes) and searching as much as he could the infected. And somebody, went back to the catacombs, snatched a ghoul and infected himself. Of course, as any careful laid plan does not survive contact with the enemy, he quickly realised the harshness of the ghoul condition - and more importantly, many people from his "social" circle in Paris turned on him.

Picking up a job in Germany, in the Rhine-Ruhr-Megaplex, mostly to escape the heat in France, Franck actually end up liking the 'plex and move there. He has a steady stream of fresh "food" coming from a shaddy street doc' and knows part of the ghoul community of the 'plex, so he managed to move around - using sewers if needed, without being hassle too much. Of cours,e he always wearing a large fedora, a gas mask and a trench coat to hide his obviously Ghoul features, but other than that, he seems to be thriving - as much as such thing is possible for ghoul, inside the 'plex.

A spirit of men is a dog's best friend. Rex found that out the hard way. He isn't quite sure what happened, but two months ago he woke up in the streets of Seattle. No money, no memories and no muscles to speak of. He was so weak he could barely crawl although he felt otherwise healthy. The only thing he had was some kind of fancy wet suit with a bunch of electrodes trailing out of it, leading him to believe that he was kept in some kind of clinic. His head hurt as if it was close to bursting and when he concentrated he thought he heard voices screaming incoherently into his ears.
At this particular moment of crisis he became aware of a presence urging him to turn himself into a dog. To his own surprise he knew exactly how to do it. Once the transformation was done, the screaming had stopped completely and he could think clearly for the first time since he awoke - and not a minute to soon:
A team of armed men swarmed into the back yard, securing the area until they found the discarded clothes.
One of the man took out an old fashioned radio: "Leader, here Alpha 2. He ditched his suit and the nanite signal has also vanished..."
"... No, no sign of combat or a body. Only rats in the bins and some stray dog around. The guys sanity is probably gone by now, but we'll increase the perimeter and start searching around. Maybe he managed to wrap his head with tinfoil to block the signals. Don't worry, we'll find him."

Reginald "Rex" Waas has supposedly become the victim of CFD. He doesn't know for sure because he can't remember anything clearly before he turned himself into a dog and escaped the search team. The transformation helps him to keep his head clear - and probably any nanites in the same place all other cyberware goes with a transformed body. So far he pieced together that he must have been kept in suspended animation somewhere, so people could study the effects of CFD on mages.
He is certain that he was saved by his totem - or rather a Kami - who taught (or reminded) him to change his form. Now he stays changed as long as he can, conjuring a spirit of men when he needs sleep to keep the transformation going.

Step by step he has adapted to his new life, sending spirits to fetch things he can't access as an animal or astrally projecting and manifesting when he needs to interact with people directly. He is obsessed to find a way to get rid of the nanites and to get his memories back.
In the mean time he has found work in the shadows as "Rex the Wonder Dog". He even managed to get himself custom armor made to his specifications to appear as a service animal. If necessary he changes into the shape of a large cat, a wolf or - with some preparation - even into a black bear.
He disguises his true nature on the astral with illusions, but most of his contacts know or at least guess what's up and avoid having contact with him - it's probably only a matter of time until the mysterious search team finds him or the bounty on his head gets to big for the morals of his acquaintances.

The day that happens will be a dull day: "Dog bites man" is after all not news...

Seems like I'll have to gear the first run towards a matrix adventure  ;D

@Haywire
Could you copy that character into your placeholder? I'll link up all characters to the main post as soon as the rest is online.

@k-Sim
Chop, chop. To star this game I need to know all characters, including yours  ;)

Ok, let's get this party started.

Remember to number your posts, every two posts is worth 1 Karma and 2000 Nuyen.

Quick question on dice rolls, how do we do 'em? Do I post what I want rolled and does the GM do the rest? If I want to  summon a spirit does the GM roll my summoning skill, the spirit's resist and my drain roll?
Title: Re: Umbrae Europae [OOC]
Post by: Jack_Spade on <09-07-16/0636:15>
I'd suggest using www.orokos.com
It's reliable and has the option to give you the number of successes if you express it in the format: xd6t5

I can roll for you, but I'd prefer it if you handled it with orokos and just posted the link to your dice rolls
Title: Re: Umbrae Europae [OOC]
Post by: k-sim on <09-07-16/0656:10>
Alright, I'll use Orokos then. But I can't make heads or tails from the explanation. What do I put in to roll shadowrun dice? And what about edge?
Title: Re: Umbrae Europae [OOC]
Post by: Jack_Spade on <09-07-16/0709:27>
There is a help page:
http://orokos.com/roll/?action=dicehelp

For Edge with exploding dice you just use xd6h5
Rerolls, you just enter manually a second roll with the correct number of dice.

You can test it by writing "test" into the Campaign text field
(after you registered)

Remember to number your posts, every two posts is worth 1 Karma and 2000 Nuyen.

Just to check my math on that. I've just published my 5th post, so my character has gain 2,5 karma points and 5000 nuyens (well actually, he will have 3 karma points and 6000 nuyens at the 6th and just have 2 karma point and 4000 nuyens).

I assume that if I wanted to spent the karma now (to buy a level one skill for instance) I still would need to have the appropriate "down time" to do so, right ? (so one day if I recall right in this case).
Title: Re: Umbrae Europae [OOC]
Post by: k-sim on <09-08-16/1628:52>
I made some minor changes to my character as well, I also had a good chunk of nuyen left to spend

@k-sim Just to be clear - I made no change to my character, I just want to check that my calculation is not wrong from the start, so I don't end up down the road to have either too much or not enough karma

I have no problem with Schrödingers Skills: As long as you haven't displayed use of a skill or similar, there is no reason why you can't spend karma to increase it. You just did it before hand (who could prove otherwise)  ;)

What's up, we can't really continue with the introduction, without your Character.

Remember, 4 times per week posting was the agreed upon minimum input.

Help me on this topic as I don't know if there is in 5th a cyberthing to do this(I may be confused with 3rd edition):
could you install something other than a cortex bomb to "shut down" a metahuman? Like the personafix or something they put in bunraku puppets?
I looked on CRB and Chrome Flesh, but could not find it.
Title: Re: Umbrae Europae [OOC]

There are a few ways to do that: An implanted drug delivery system with a drug of your choise, a self destruct module, modded to any piece of cyberware you want, a datajack with a hardwired BTL chip that sends them to dreamland.

Take your pick  ;D

Yepp,

the main difference between the two options is that the conference room doesn't have amenities like beds and showers, while the safe house is in effect a hotel room.
Title: Re: Umbrae Europae [OOC]
Post by: Zweiblumen on <09-14-16/0819:32>
Schöner, being the smart cookie he is, forgot to tell Frau Sicherheit how many souls needed a place to crash.  Will the safe house accommodate all four of us, or would he need to get a bigger safe house.  Schöner is spoiled, so he'll spring for a nicer place that's secure.
Title: Re: Umbrae Europae [OOC]
Post by: Jack_Spade on <09-14-16/0842:14>
More people, more money. If you wanted, you could cram into the room, but it wouldn't be comfortable.
There's a 10% increase per additional person if you want bigger accommodations.
Title: Re: Umbrae Europae [OOC]

Title: Re: Umbrae Europae [OOC]
Post by: Jack_Spade on <09-14-16/0904:57>
Correct. But it's for planning and waiting only - unless you want to sleep on the floor and wash in the sink.
Title: Re: Umbrae Europae [OOC]
Post by: Zweiblumen on <09-14-16/0911:43>
Schöner would want to pay for the house over the conference room. I'll get an IC about that up tonight. No point in paying for the room when we're gonna need a place to crash also IMHO. He'll pay for the base, everyone else chip in their 10%?  His way of paying for the finer things he likes.

My drones have more or less six hours of autonomous fly. If it's very far from our safehouse I can put them in the GMC Armadillo and  have it drive them near the boat. In the drone rack of the Armadillo stays one of the Rotodrones, ready to be launched if things go south.

Title: Re: Umbrae Europae [OOC]

I was posting with the assumption that posts were somewhat time-flexible given the nature of PbP.  While you can't wander too far down the path without full response from everyone, having Schöner respond to the questions prior to Waywalker going under seems reasonable.  And the chatter about ¥¥ is mostly fluff.  With getting 1k¥/post the money isn't that big of a deal honestly... well until Schöner decides he needs to get some Deltaware, but 200¥ here or there isn't really gonna have much of an impact on any delta grade ware :P

Since it hasn't been 15 minutes yet, there's no random element yet, so your overwatch should some up to all the defense hits:

1 from entering
2 from cracking the file

I assume that once you are out, you'll reboot anyway, so it's not really that relevant.

Most likely a trode net - she is wearing a headband

Actually here is the full description:

1.70 cm, early twenties, cute face with freckles, blond, rather thin, no make up, hands are callused, wears a black headband, grey sweater, blue jeans, sneakers.
Large fake leather handbag lies at her side.

Okay, I take 3 boxes of Matrix damage, unresisted (ouch!).

Ok, before we continue I've got a few questions to clear:

Where exactly do you want to look for an ambush location?
The university, the apartment, the boat or the museum?

You both know the location of the blood samples, but so far you haven't tampered with them. To get access you either need the key card of Giselle or hack the University host to open the doors. Alternatively you can just lock pick your way in.

Post by: Haywire on <10-07-16/1615:34>
I would like to set the ambush at the apartment, or where the girls are headed.
My plan for the samples is to geek Anton first, then hack the university host and destroy them pulling the alimentation of the freezer. Just to be sure,I'll have a fly spy on site continously, to be certain that the samples are taken care of.

Post by: Jack_Spade on <10-08-16/0620:18>
That might be a bit difficult, as you don't know where Giselle is headed and Eli is not driving toward the apartment that she entered and left on foot to prevent anyone from connecting her scooter movements to the place  ::)

(This is a hint from your friendly GM  ;) )

Ok: I'll try to multitask, so Tracking Giselle AND getting Host access, so Franck can pull the alimentation of the freezer.
Is ok for you belaran?

I am sorry if I did not state it enough, but ALL shot from.me or drones were called shots with -4 dice and +2DV (so, starting at 13 P AP -2).

Oh, ok, yeah it would be very helpful if you all added all relevant information into your posts  ;D

I'll amend my post accordingly

Yeah, but there are a lot of different called shots and also I totally missed that last part in your post (That's why it's useful to also post what your expected damage is - spares me to search your character sheet)

With my control rig I should have a speed of 5 on the Rotodrone. Howany round does it take for me to have a line of fire on anton?
Title: Re: Umbrae Europae [OOC]
Post by: Jack_Spade on <10-31-16/0541:36>
Control Rig doesn't increase the actual speed, but your limit. That said, you are airborne, your target is on foot, so you shouldn't need more than a round to catch up with him.

As for Frank:
Your astral sight is blocked completely, the light fog mod can be compensated with IR vision, but you still have to spend an action to take down the barrier for this round, which means Anton will reach outside long before you (he is also quite a bit faster than you at 16 m/round)

So, for my next action on Inititative 11 I should be able to shoot him, right?

Is there any Matrix activity from the boat/Anton's place?
Title: Re: Umbrae Europae [OOC]
Post by: Jack_Spade on <11-04-16/0555:05>
There are quite a few matrix active things in the house - mainly kitchen appliances, heating, door locks etc., but no commlinks or other PANs. No sign of a boat either (which would be towed to the pier)

Should we use Run and Gun repair rules or Rigger 5? (i.e. 10% per box or 5% per box? Either way is ok for me, just to have a consensus.
Title: Re: Umbrae Europae [OOC]
Post by: Jack_Spade on <11-07-16/0252:37>
Rigger 5, it's the newer and therefore hopefully correct version (good of you to mention it. I didn't notice that there was a discrepancy)
So the repair will be a lot cheaper.

I officially declare the first chapter of Umbrae Europae over.

Time to spend money, Karma and introduce new team mates  ;D

His main area of specialty is R&D and scientists, He has ins with all the major AAA and AA corps having worked with all at one point or another throughout his career. Whilst Heinrick is officially based out of Geneva he also travels extensively throughout Europe and the the rest of the world as contracts and demand takes him. He tends to prefer meeting in expensive restaurants has permanent tables at several of Europe's premier dining establishments for conducting face to face meetings.

Julius Dean (Info Broker), Barcelona (CON: 3, LOY: 2)

Name/Alias: Unknown/Julius Dean
Metatype: Homo Sapiens Sapiens
Age: Indeterminate - appears to be in late 70's
Height: approx 5' 8"
Weight: approx 75kg
Profession: Info Broker
Appearance: A completely bland and unremarkable person, Nothing about him stands out other than the faint scent of ginger, caused by his love of preserved ginger. Always dressed in a suit, though never the same one, and always at least 10 years out of fashion.
Information: Julius has been around a long time and got to know a lot of different people, and their secrets, over the years. He operates out of a pimped up warehouse in Barcelona and is always looking to acquire new information. He alsmost doesn't seem to care what the information is as he believes that anything can hold value to the right individual. He is never without a jar of preserved ginger and will suck noisily on them throughout any conversation/meeting.

Madame Butterfly (Fixer), Mayfair (London) (CON: 4, LOY: 3)

Name/Alias: Unknown/Madame Butterfly
Metatype: Homo Sapiens Nobilis
Age: Indeterminate - appears to be in early 30's
Height: approx 6'1"
Weight: approx 55kg
Profession: Club Owner (Legitimate) Agent (Fixer/Criminal)
Appearance: Madame Butterfly is a tall and striking elven female of indeterminate age. Whilst she appears to be in her early 30's it is believed that she is at least 60 years old (The Butterfly Effect has been open for over 30 years). She always dresses immaculately for the occasion and can seemingly fit into any environment. Her standard matrix persona is that of a tall, willowy elf in a chromatic black cocktail dress with neon green cybereyes.
Information: Madame Butterfly runs The Butterfly Effect, an exclusive Gentlemen's Club in Mayfair, London. Entry to the club is by invite only and rumours abound concerning what entertainments are actually on offer in the club. Prior to the opening of The Butterfly Effect no one had ever heard of Madame Butterfly and it is not certain where she got the finance or backing to open such a luxurious club in one of the most expensive districts in London. Over the years there have been several unsubstantiated rumours concerning her origins including:

● that she was once an escort herself who was favoured by either an Arabic or Tir Tairngire Prince, the human form of Lofwyr or the Oyabun of Oyabun
● that she is one of the so called "Immortal Elves" from one of the 2 Tir nations and has personal finance to rival many AA corporations
● she was a Bunraku Sex Doll whom the madame took a liking to, and who ended up taking over the business when the previous madame died, possible at Madame Butterfly's hands

She also works as a fixer/agent, though she never mixes the 2 vocations and will not acknowledge a runner contact should they somehow gain entry to her club, though she has been known to give either guest or, in a handful of cases, permanent membership to those who have worked directly for her and performed exceptionally well. All of her illicit meetings/contacts are carried out in her custom designed matrix host and to gain access she either contacts you and gives you the code or more often you have to prove your worth by finding out about the additional services she supplies and hacking your way in, or arranging for someone to hack in and add you to the list of accepted parties.

== Description ==
A fit looking 50 something year old white male. This changes on a regular basis due to the use of his false face cyberware

[/spoiler]

Jack was born in London to two low level supervisors who worked for Cross Applied Technologies. Early aptitide testing revealed his natural affinity for languages which led to him being fast tracked for Enhanced Education, CATco's special schooling for potential Seraphim candidates.

During his training Jack did well, finding that the he thrived in the environment. His language skills were trained up and it soon became obvious that social manipulation and infiltration were the areas for him to focus on. Whilst training he also attended Cambridge University where he studied both modern languages and psychology. It was during this time that the first of his various implants were also installed.

Unfortunately for Jack things did not continue to go well. At the end of his second year at Cambridge Jack was tasked as support for an operation in Moscow against a Yamatetsu subsidiary. The operation was the extraction of a high ranking corporate researcher who specialised in genetic manipulation and was to be his final test as entry into the ranks of the Seraphim.

Jack had been tasked with maintaining the operational safehouse in Moscow, arranged through one of the other team members Vory v Zakone contacts. Once the safehouse was set Jack would then become one of the spotters and ground support to run interferance during the extraction should it be required. He did as expected and secured the safehouse ready for the extraction before taking the initiative and arranging 3 additional exfiltration routes as back up using the same Vory contacts who had provided the safehouse. At first it seemed that everything had gone according to plan. The scientist was grabbed and moved to the safehouse ready for exfiltration whilst Jack and the other support team ran interferance to prevent the extraction being tracked.

Then the proverbial hit the spinning blades and everything went to hell. Turned out the Vory contacts had seen the opportunity to make even more money by playing both sides of the fence and had sold out the safehouse and exfiltration routes, that Jack had arranged, back to Yamatetsu. Before Jack could make it back to the safehouse the HTR teams had struck and taken control. The rest of Jack's team, including his instructors, were either captured or killed leaving Jack stuck in Moscow with no exit strategy in place and no support. Realsiing the enormity of what had happened Jack had no choice but to go to ground and try to find his own way out. Meanwhile CATco, realsing the op was completely burned, implemented their scorched earth policy and destroyed all records of the team including their corporate SINs so that they could not be traced back to CATco.

Jack managed to survive his time in Moscow, he knew that his best chance was to align himself with the criminal elements that directly opposed the Vory so he turned to the Chechen Obschina instead. Using the information he had on the Vory operations he was able to make himself useful enough to the Chechens to parley that into a new identity and a safe exit from Russia.

Given the skills he had and the fact that he no longer officially existed Jack turned to the shadows to make his way in life. Whilst he has always continued to operate on the borders of the corporate world, where he still maintains a keen interest in their rising stars who would be ripe for extraction, Jack is also a realist and knows that sometimes you can't afford to turn a job down even if you don't like it that much.

Jack has continued to drift throughout Europe and the rest of the world, often ending up in both Tokyo and Seattle, though he somehow always ends up returning to central Europe where his language skills serve him best. He has never really put down roots and rarely stays in one place for any great length of time, instead always moving to wherever the next job takes him. Even when he does stay in an area for any length of time he will often change his base of operations rather than risk becoming associated with any one area.

So, to sum repair cost up, I'm footing a bill of 6.960 NY, half payed by Franck, right? (I'd say we split even 3.500/3.500 NY, and the 40 more goes as an extra to my contact). Are you ok with that?
