Hey gang.  I started up a new project called The Bulldrek Round Table.  Each month I'll invite a couple of game industry vets to a round table style chat where we'll take turns asking each other questions about gaming, life, and anything else that comes to mind, all the while just chatting and having a good time.  And hopefully being interesting in the process.

Episode 1 is now up, featuring SHadowrun authors Kevin "Red" Czarnecki and Thomas "Wakshaani" Willoughby.

You can catch it up on YouTube as well as listen to the Podcast.

Am I the only one without a podcast or Patreon at this point?

Well, there's me, but I don't have a cellphone either, so.

Before I listen to this, the round table is a lie?

Hehe...  He's just a guest this month though.  Next month I'll have a couple different people on.  :)

Yup, looks like.

Is there an actual, not a figurative, round table?

Ahhh.  It is figurative.  It's a Round Table Discussion style format instead of an Interview style.  Both myself and my Guests get to ask questions and we all answer the questions and discuss them. :)

Sorry.  I'm a little slow on the uptake.  It's been a very busy week.  I started a new regular taxi crew, was extra busy with my non-crew taxi work, plus recorded an online game session of my Apoch's Twilight game for an Actual Play, recorded the Round Table, hosted a Discord chat for my Patreons, plus audio/video editing of said recordings. My brain is currently jello.

Thanks for indulging me. :)

I have a more serious question for you. I maintain the Shadowhelix list of podcasts. Would you classify this as a Shadowrun podcast I can put on the list or is the focus the roleplaying scene/business in general?

That...  is a good question.

It's not specifically a Shadowrun focused thing, per se.  And gaming isn't even a specific focus.  Our first episode, questions included gaming, but we also talked a bit about movies and even food.

But i'm sure there will be a lot of Shadowrun.  I mean, it's been a major part of my life for the last 20+ years, and I've been so heavily involved in both the production side and online community for the majority of that time that even when somethings not about Shadowrun, it still ends up about Shadowrun. :)  Plus the majority of my guests, espeically for the first probably half dozen episodes, will be Shadowrun folks.

So, umm...  Eh?  Maybe?

That probably didn't help at all. :)

That was interesting!  I'm sure I didn't absorb it all, as I was listening while doing work, but it was interesting both in giving some insight into some of the writers for the game as well as views on the state of SR from people somewhat more on the inside. (and a big thank you to (I think it was) 'Red', who came out with the exact word I'd been looking for in terms of what SR5 is lacking: immersion)

I swear to the gods, Red. If we ever meet, I am buying you a cheese platter. With gouda, swiss, mozzarella, and butterkase.
