So there should be several threads about this but apparently I can't find them. What is the cost of hiring a mage to cast a spell or perform a ritual in 5th edition? I want a permanent ward around a specific place and lack the manapower to do it myself. And yes, it's probably gonna be fucking expensive.

According to RF p. 254 highly skilled labor costs 50¥/hour with an AVA of 8.
Add to that that the work is draining (literally) you probably will have to pay the equivalent of a lavish bribe (2,000¥) + all costs for reagents

Here you go http://forums.shadowruntabletop.com/index.php?topic=24859.0 started off asking for one off spells/potions but turned into a discussion on hourly rates as I recall the final view was 60 yen or so an hour modified by factors like danger. Hope it helps.
