You can safely ignore that bug, it's just found an item that doesn't have a proper source defined, most likely a proxy item like the energy units or something. I'll get around to fixing it at some point.

...thanks. The part about "this may cause issues" had me a little concerned that something could be missing from the character file.

Chummer 5.188 is now available. Changelog is stupid long per usual, so you can check what's changed at https://github.com/chummer5a/chummer5a/releases/tag/5.188.0.

Incidentally, a question's come up regarding dice pools; should we permit them to go below zero from things like wound penalties and defaulting penalties? I haven't found a RAW supporting or negating it either way as yet.

...wow that's some list.

So will any of the added modifications apply to characters created in older versions?  For example I have a character with a Math SPU however but the bonus is not applied to her Mental limit (I had to manually it in the Limit Modifier field in the Limits Tab).

Existing characters can apply missing bonuses by using the Reapply Improvements option in the Special menu, or removing and re-adding the relevant items.

In karmagen Resonance has an incorrect cost for improvement. Increasing to the next stat is as follows:

2; 10 karma
3; 30 karma
4; 40 karma
5; 50 karma
6; 60 karma

I checked my Options tab for the karma cost for improving attributes, which is 5 x new rating. I also checked if metatype played a role in this, which it didn't.

I don't suppose you could help me out with this. Where is the attribute increment data stored within Chummer? (btw i noticed the lplBP for the old school reference as 5th doesn't have build points :P)

Oh good, the forums decided to load. How pleasant. Chummer Build 5.189.0 is now available via the updater or GitHub. Changelog is too long to post, but the major takeaways are support for AIs in Priority and content from Cutting Aces.

There's not really any 'data' per se; Attribute costs are derived by multiplying the rating by the KarmaAttribute value, give or take some other math to keep stuff neat.  If you're looking at the source, you want CalculatedBP() at line 972 of clsUnique.cs.

Does the current build require characters be started over? Seems like every time I try to load up an existing save, it crashes out. And the Crash Reporter crashes.
